The History of FC Hanworth
The team began in September 2004 and was founded
by the ex-manager James Graves.
The team was originally made up of Hanworth Social
Club members (based at the Hanworth Community Centre
in The Pines School) and after a short while friends
and family of the players started to joined the team.
The first sponsor that the team had was The Technology
Centre Limted who provided the team with their first
fully sponsored kit and continues to sposnsor the
teams website.
Shortly after the Technology Centre sponsorship, another
sponsorship/donation was given to the team to help
towards the cost of match balls, portable goals and
other equipment by A.J Heating & Plumbing Services.
In July 2006 the team was offered a sponsorship offer
by the Downshire Golf Club, so for the best part of
the 2006-2007 season was based there.
The team has been given a new sponsorship by Ambassador
Heating for the 2007-2008 season, and now has a brand
new kit.
The team are currently based from the Great Hollands
Social Club, where food is provided after every game.
Every member of the team is fanatical about football
and being part of the team.
The team has a Manager/Secretary, assistant manager,
match administrator, team officials and multiple first
aiders.
When officially registered in 2005, the club was entered
into the Bracknell & District Sunday League and
gained affiliation to the Berks & Bucks Football
Association.
Bracknell & District Sunday League placed the
club into division 4 of the league and the team has
also taken part in other league and county cup games.
